The History Behind Our Venue

Our reception will be held at The Josephine on Napoleon, a breathtakingly restored former Catholic church built in the 1920s in Uptown New Orleans. Originally known as Our Lady of Lourdes, the church served its community for decades before falling into disrepair after Hurricane Katrina. After years of sitting quiet, it has been thoughtfully revived—honoring its history while transforming into a space we will celebrate our love with our family and friends.

The architecture still tells its story: a grand dome, soaring arched ceilings, and intricate details that beautifully blend the old with the new. With my background in design and our shared Catholic faith, celebrating here feels especially personal and meaningful to us.
